Torpey, Pat - Odd man out (1998, Imagica Media Japan, VACM 1126)

Odd man out is the first solo album of MR BIG drummer Pat Torpey. Torpey turns out to be a great songwriter, producer and vocalist too. As a songwriter he's pretty influenced by the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Steve Lukather is contributing to the multi rhythm song Hangover with raging Jeff Beck like riffs.

"I think Pat is a fantastic musician, singer, writer etc, but what makes him so cool is that he's such a great, humble guy with all that talent. I have enjoyed workin with him on the few projects we've done together, most recently, his solo record. Always a pro and a gentleman. I look forward to more collaborations soon." (Steve Lukather, The Official Pat Torpey Homepage)

Pat Torpey's inside scoop on Hangover: "A bit of madness. Written around a drivin' groove... Lukather's brilliant on some swinging guitar..." (The Official Pat Torpey Homepage)
