Heart of soul is the successor of the 2002 album Respect yourself. The cd is released in Europe in September 2004. Steve Lukather, who also contributed to the 1984 album Civilized man came back 20 years later to join the clun of top gear guitarists.
Lukather: "I did 2 solo's for Joe Cocker's new CD. Great stuff. It's a cover record and my friend C.J. Vanston is producing. I did What's goin on (George Benson, Marvin Gaye) and Maybe I'm amazed (Paul McCartney). Cool arrangements and players." In fact he also did the solo on Everybody hurts.
