Tubes, The - Tubes world tour 2001 (2000, CMC International, 86300)

It's well known that The Tubes builded a strong reputation as a rock & roll theater group. Because The Tubes also payed a lot of attention to the quality of their musical performance the 1978 live album What do you want from live remains the best document of The Tubes in a live setting and is among the band's most essential releases. Nevertheless the new 2000 (!) album Tubes world tour 2001 is an interesting reflection of the stiil existing live reputation of The Tubes. The album contains two classics co-written by Steve Lukather (She's a beauty and Talk to ya later) and one new song co-written by Luke (Loveline).
