Melanie Abele - Helping fans meet their man
Sunday 07 August 2005 14:21 by Arend
Every musician depends on their fans - especially for sales of CD’s and paying money to see concerts. But Steve Lukather, guitar player from the band TOTO, has gone a step further. On his recent solo European tour, he offered fans the chance to become official promoters... and in exchange, they can hang out on tour with the man himself. Melanie Aberle went to one of Lukather’s concerts in Hamburg and met up with his tour promoting fans.

During the Lukather Summer Tour 2005 Melanie Aberle from the German radio station Deutsche Welle made a radio item about the street team that promoted Luke's tour in Europe. The item (Helping Fans Meet Their Man) was broadcasted in August as a part of the Cool show. Here's the soundclip of the whole item.
